Andrew Ho
Andrew’s practice focuses on representing individuals in all areas of criminal defense. He has won not guilty verdicts at jury trials in numerous complex criminal matters including first degree murder, sexual assault, armed robbery, felony assault, domestic violence, DUI, burglary, fraud, and drug cases, and countless other serious matters. He represents individuals in municipal, state and federal court.
Andrew also defends licensed professionals including attorneys, teachers, medical professionals, and others. He has successfully defended actions brought in in the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, Department of Human & Health Services (TRAILS), Title IX investigations, and school disciplinary boards.
Prior to joining Recht Kornfeld as an associate, Andrew spent eight and a half years as a Colorado State Public Defender in their Mesa County and Arapahoe County Regional Offices. His responsibilities included mentoring and training attorneys in courtroom litigation tactics. He has defended thousands of individuals in his legal career, always with a client-centered approach that focuses on the particular needs of his clients and their families.
Andrew has repeatedly been recognized by the legal community for his accomplishments. Chief Justice Nathan B. Coats of the Colorado Supreme Court appointed Andrew to the Commission for the Alternate Defense Council, proudly serving approximately a thousand criminal defense lawyers and investigators. He has been awarded with the Governor Ralph Carr Award by the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado. He was selected and graduated from the Colorado Bar Association’s prestigious Leadership Training Program (COBALT). In 2020, Andrew was one of fourteen individuals selected worldwide as a recipient of the International Outstanding Overseas Youth Award.
Andrew has been named Denver’s Top 40 under 40 by the Denver Business Journal. He has been repeatedly selected to the Colorado Rising Stars list acknowledging the peer recognition of his professional achievements among criminal defense attorneys.
Andrew received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his law degree at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law with a concentration on Litigation.
