Beale C. Tejada

Beale Tejada is a trial lawyer with a vast wealth of experience specializing in plaintiffs’ personal injury and criminal defense.

In his personal injury practice, he has secured multiple multi-million dollars settlements, forcing insurers to recognize and pay fair damages for the harms their insureds have caused his clients. He’s represented multiple families and friends on catastrophic cases, including wrongful death claims, TBIs, back injuries, and amputations. He has also represented injured individuals who may not have suffered catastrophic injuries but are just as deserving of a zealous advocate as anyone else. In all his cases, including the ones that go to trial, Beale’s emphasis is on ensuring that his clients’ stories are heard.

In his criminal practice, he has represented individuals charged with the whole spectrum of crimes. From municipal court charges to murder and assault charges, he has represented individuals in nearly every jurisdiction in Colorado, including in the Front Range, Southwest Colorado, and Northern Colorado. He has successfully defended against Colorado Organized Crime Control Act (COCCA), sexual assault, DUI, and white-collar charges.

Outside of his legal practice, Beale believes in giving back to the community. He is the past President of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Association and the current Board President of Lincoln Hills Cares. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Outward Bound School and also serves on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Community Corrections. In continuing support of his alma matter, he also serves on the Colorado Law Alumni Board, which is tasked with providing insight and guidance to the University of Colorado Law School.

Beale graduated from Colorado College with a B.A. in History and Political Science in 2007. After graduating from CC, he accepted an invitation to join the prestigious Fellowship program at El Pomar Foundation for two years, where he immersed himself in the Fellowship’s intensive two-year professional and nonprofit management program. After El Pomar, he attended Colorado Law and graduated in 2012. From there, he worked in Colorado Springs with the Office of the State Public Defender and then joined his family’s law firm, Crane & Tejada, P.C., before joining Recht Kornfeld as a shareholder in 2024.
