Partner Kelly Page was featured on Law.com in an inspiring profile about focusing on maintaining a high-level of practice in order to excel as an attorney. Kelly, who joined Recht Kornfeld in 2017 after serving as an attorney with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, has been instrumental in several high-profile, white collar cases including the firm’s recent victory against the United States Department of Justice’s Antitrust division. “I was able to prove that my level of practice had reached a level far beyond that of an associate,” Kelly shared of her experience working on these trial teams.

In addition to offering advice to associates on navigating the path to partnership, Kelly discussed the legacy she hopes to cultivate from her career. “I am very fortunate that I’ve had amazing mentors at every stage of my law career, many of whom encouraged me to get involved in public-interest work and taught me the skills I needed to become an effective trial attorney. I want to pass on my passion for indigent defense to the next generation of public defenders and criminal defense attorneys, which I think is especially important now given that many of these young lawyers were trying to figure out how to remotely practice law.”
